Aravind Adiga

Aravind Adiga (1974- ) is an Indian writer and journalist. He grew up in Mangalore in the south of India and studied at Columbia and Oxford Universities. His articles have been published in well-reputed magazines and papers such as The Financial Times, The Sunday Times and The Independent. In 2008 he won the Man Booker prize for his first novel The White Tiger which deals with life in modern India with a focus on the contrast between India as a modern global economy and its working class people who live in poverty. His latest novel is Last Man in Tower (2011).
